Xochitl went to sleep Sunday night at about 12:00 midnight only to be woken up at 1:30 am by contractions.  After about an hour of timing them, we grabbed the kids and rushed out of the house at about 2:30 am.  We got to the hospital in roughly 13.26 seconds and she was admitted shortly thereafter.  She managed to get a little bit of rest as we waited.  We didn’t wait for long though, because Liam was ready to exit at about 2:20 p.m..  Xochitl only had to push a half dozen times and it was all done (she always makes it look easy, though it is no small feat to deliver a baby)!  New baby Liam!  He was 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 20.5 inches long.  His official birth was at 2:42 pm and by the due date, he was about two weeks early. 

We spent the next two days in the hospital.  Everyone was ready to go on Tuesday afternoon.  Xochitl was doing well.  Baby was happy.  But, they decided to keep us there another day. We finally left the hospital around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

I’ll get more pictures on here soon.  As you can imagine, it is hard to take pictures while you are trying to stay conscious during delivery, so I don’t have a bundle of pictures to show you.  But, we are going to take some more today now that Liam has had some time to “air out.”  I would have to say he is quite a handsome young man.
